This free one hour webinar is sponsored by the In Freee webinar sponsored by the International Federation of Technical Analysts IFTA and hosted by the Society of Technical Analysts STA in London and presents a step by step guide to a systematic or algorithmic approach to trading and investing. This is the route modern technical analysis is taking and it is its future. We ‘re leaving chart analysis and moving closer to an algorithmic approach. We made a move like this before, when we moved from graph paper, ruler, pencil and compass onto the PC.
Now we are not just looking at the graphs on the PC but using a mathematical and statistical approach to rigorously test a method and to use the computer to give us speed and discipline. What separates us from the Quants is we do not start with a piece of maths and apply it to the data to mine for profitable anomalies, we look to make a sensible idea into a system which can be tested and applied allowing for changing market conditions and for robust answers.
In this short session, Trevor Neil will detail the steps to take for this approach. He will cover he will cover each step in more detail in his regular Trevor Neil’s Monthly Technical Analysis Surgeries.
